Arrival at Kutaisi Airport. Transfer to the hotel. Kutaisi is second city in Georgia for its volume. This ancient city once was the capital of Kolkheti Kingdom from where according to legend Argonauts stole the Golden Fleece. Overnight in Kutaisi.

After breakfast we start our trip visiting resort city Borjomi, which is known for its mineral water “Borjomi.” We will take walk in national park of Borjom-Kharagauli. Park is one of the largest protected territories in Europe. We will taste Borjomi water coming out from the ground in natural form. We will continue our trip to Akhaltsikhe and visit restored Rabati Fortress. We will see Samtskhe-Javakheti Museum where up to 25 000 works are kept. Collection includes handwritings, numismatic and ethnography things. Overnight in Akhaltsikhe.

After breakfast we continue our trip in the region and see Khertvisis Fortress (X century). Fortress is one of the oldest in Georgia and functioned during feudal period of Georgia. We will continue our way to see astonishing city Vardzia (XII century) cut in rocks. Here the monastery complex of cave system is located, residential rooms, churches and royal hall. We will take a walk tour to see Vardzia Complex as a result of which we will go to Tbilisi, capital of Georgia and on our way we will see most beautiful lakes: Tsalka, Paravani and Sagamo. Overnight in Tbilisi.

After breakfast we will go to see mountainous Caucasus using the military way from Tbilisi hotel. On our way we will visit first capital of Georgia Mtskheta which is announced as city museum. Here are monuments of UNESCO cultural heritage – Jvari Monastery (VI century) and Svetitskhoveli cathedral (XI century). After Mtskheta we will visit one more the most important historic monument Ananuri Fortress (XIV-XVII centuries). Fortress controlled the trade road in feudal Georgia. In 2007 it was included in test list of UNESCO cultural heritage. The way pass from Ananuri to Kazbegi Municipality joins North Caucasus with the mountains of Mtianeti region. Also we will visit ski resort Gudauri. Overnight in Gudauri.

After breakfast we will go to Stepantsminda – administration center of the area. On the Jvari Pass we will reach 2395 meters from sea level. On our way we will stop in several places for tasting mineral waters and seeing magnificent environment. We take walk to go up to Gergeti Trinity (XIV century) which is 2120 meters high from sea level and is most beautiful to see on the background of Mkinvartsveri, the highest peak (5033 meters from sea level). Afterwards we will go to Dariali Ravine on the border of Russian-Georgia. We will take walk on Gveleti Waterfall and take pleasure from untouchable nature. Return back to Gudauri for overnight.

After breakfast we will drive to the hotel. Here we are expected to see lots of sightseeing places of the capital. The city tour will start with the Holy Trinity Cathedral (XXI century) which is third large temple in Europe and the highest in Caucasus. Continue our tour and visit Metekhi Church (XIII century), which is symbolic together with the monument of Vakhtang Gorgasali. We will catch rope-way to reach the city’s main fortress Narikala Fortress (IV century), from which beautiful view of the city opens. Retruning back from prison we take a little walk in the old valley that joins to Botanical Garden. We will visit the famous sulfur baths. Baths have healing qualities and enjoys immense popularity among foreign and local tourists. Walking around the narrow streets. See bridge of peace – a modern glass bridge over the Mtkvari River which is perfectly integrated with architecture in its old background. We will take time walking in the streets. Overnight in Tbilisi.


After breakfast we will drive to Gori to visit the Soviet leader Ioseb Stalin’s Museum. Great leader was born in this city, where his house functions as a museum. 60 000 exhibits and personal belongings of Stalin are kept here. We’ll go to the cave town Uplistsikhe (the prison) to see Uplistsikhe cave complex, one of the ancient settlements and the trading road passing over area connecting to Byzantium, China and India. After walking from Uplistsikhe we will go to the West. And we will come back to the city of Kutaisi to visit UNESCO Heritage Sites Bagrat Temple (XI century) and the Academy for his church (XII century). Overnight at the hotel in the city of Kutaisi..
