It is a castle complex on the Aragvi River in Georgia, about 45 miles (72 kilometres) from Tbilisi. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavs (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle was the scene of numerous battles. The fortifications consist of two castles joined by a crenellated curtain wall. The upper fortification with a large square tower, known as Sheupovari, is well preserved and is the location of the last defense of the Aragvi against the Shamshe.
Gudauri ski resort
Snowboarding resort of modern standards. It is located at Main Range of Caucasus near Jvari Mountain Pass 2196 meter from sea level. This is a great place for winter extreme sports lovers. Gudauri hosts guests even during summer season. In summer, Gudauri is attractive for those who like backpacking and water rafting. You can have fun and enjoy the view of the mountains around. The Russia–Georgia Friendship Monument or Treaty of Georgievsk Monument is a monument built in 1983 to celebrate the bicentennial of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the ongoing friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. Located on the Georgian Military Highway between the ski resort town of Gudauri and the Jvari pass, the monument is a large round stone and concrete structure overlooking the Devil’s Valley in the Caucasus Mountains. Inside the monument is a large tile mural that spans the whole circumference of the structure and depicts scenes of Georgian and Russian history.
Stepantsminda is a town in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of northeastern Georgia. Historically and ethnographically, the town is part of the Khevi province. It is the center of the Kazbegi Municipality. Stepantsminda was named after a Georgian Orthodox monk named Stephan, who constructed a hut on the place where now Georgian Military Road passes.
It is located in the Dariali ravine 7 km from the village of Gveleti in the town of Stepantsminda. It can be accessed from the Dariali ravine, through a narrow path. To get to the waterfall, the last 700 meters must be walked.
Gergeti trinity church
The temple built on 2200 meters from sea level is the most beautiful place to see on the background of Mkinvarstveri (Mkinvartsveri – apex on Caucasus). Trinity Temple always carried special meaning in spiritual life of Georgian nation. For a long time, one of the holiest relics of Georgian Christians – the Cross of St. Nino, is kept here.
